Michael Sam was the first gay person in the NFL TO get drafted. Michael Sam was drafted to the Rams. Michael Sam was drafted because he was a great college football player.  The football player on his team was surprise that Michael Sam was gay and he got drafted. “I’m not afraid to tell the world I am. I’m Michael Sam: I’m a collage graduate. I’m African- American, and I’m gay.” 

The NFL draft was to draft collage players to the NFL and once they knew Michael Sam was gay they was surprise. There was a problem because Michael Sam was the first gay player in the NFL. Michael Sam is a great player and could play really well and he’s a tough football player. Michael Sam is now the first gay person to play NFL football.
